Soldiers' Angels is a nonprofit organization based in San Antonio, Texas, dedicated to providing aid, comfort, and resources to military service members, veterans, and their families.
Through our connection with Soldiers' Angels, we learned about the significance of paracord bracelets. These bracelets can be a lifesaver in survival situations. From fishing lines to bootlaces, tourniquets to traps — the number of uses is nearly limitless once a paracord bracelet is unwrapped.
Beyond their practical value, paracord bracelets carry a deep symbolic meaning. They represent a gesture of care, support, and connection — a tangible reminder to our troops that they are never far from home.
Led by Jay Herde, Art Director at Centrifuge, we ordered supplies and set up a full-on bracelet production line. The Fugers dove headfirst into paracord bracelet-making — with enthusiasm, YouTube tutorials, and only a few minor knot-related crises.
Some of us measured paracord with surgical precision, others braided like pros (or at least tried to), while a few brave souls took on the high-stakes task of tying finishing knots and singeing cords — without setting off the fire alarm.
Amid lots of laughs and friendly competition over who could braid the fastest (or neatest), we managed to assemble over 100 paracord bracelets. Along with a monetary donation, we're proud to send these tokens of appreciation to our troops.
We hope our handmade bracelets serve as a small reminder to the brave men and women serving that they are not alone.
