Sarah's Inn provides essential support for families impacted by domestic violence. On October 24th, the Fugers participated in the Meal Makers program, preparing a wholesome meal of pasta, salad, and dessert for nearly 30 clients attending evening support group sessions. This initiative not only ensured that clients enjoyed a nutritious meal but also created a nurturing environment where they could connect with one another, fostering community and solidarity during challenging times.
In addition to meal preparation, the Centrifuge team gathered donations of personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and food items for Sarah's Inn clients. This collection was vital in providing tangible support for those in need, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in addressing the urgent issue of domestic violence. As a recurring effort, the Meal Makers program invites volunteers to serve cooked or catered meals on the last Wednesday and Thursday of each month, reinforcing the idea that sharing a meal can be a powerful way to build connections and support healing.
