A full day of service supporting important causes brought our entire team together on Aug. 10, 2023, for a day of giving back. It was all a part of our mission to help the helpless, contribute to the greater good, and make the world a better, more equitable place.
First up, we assembled snack bags and laundry kits for DuPagePads, an organization serving people experiencing homelessness in DuPage County, Illinois. Centrifuge purchased and packaged requested comfort items to help make families and individuals feel as welcome as possible during their stay at DuPagePads.
Our snack pack crew assembled 50 bags filled with nutritious and delicious goodies kids love. These will be distributed to children staying with DuPagePads, providing them with the same snack options their schoolmates enjoy.
Laundry packs including detergent pods and fabric softener sheets are essential for residents. We assembled 50 bags, each sealed with love.
Founded in 1985, DuPagePads is the largest provider of interim and permanent housing in the western suburbs of Chicago. The DuPagePads team believes in its clients—and when someone believes in you, everything can change.
Later in the day, we sponsored and participated in the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana's (RMHCCNI) Red Show Brew, hosted by the Red Shoe Society. Our sponsorship contributed to the $65,000 raised. It costs $95 to host a family, meaning the funds raised at the Red Shoe Brew will provide 684 nights for children and families experiencing pediatric illness.
The evening was beautiful, with only a brief and rather refreshing rain shower. An eclectic group of brewers and distillers offered tastings of their beers, ciders, and other beverages while the unlimited food showcased some of Chicago's best bites. Centrifuge favorites included the grilled cheese and white chocolate raspberry gelato. Complete with live music and a raffle, we enjoyed every minute of the evening. Most of all, we are pleased to contribute to the cause.
It was an incredible day of team togetherness, focusing on the greater good of our community, and giving huge!
