Centrifuge is more than a brand marketing firm elevating American manufacturing. We are a compassionate group of community-minded individuals intent on making the world around us a better, more equitable place. Our team members know we have a responsibility to be positive forces in our communities. We know that contributing to the greater good matters. We know we can make a difference.
The world is a huge place with huge challenges facing everyone every day. Overcoming them requires every last one of us to play our role and be part of the solution. That's why Fuge Gives Huge!
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. To acknowledge domestic violence survivors and be a voice for its victims the Centrifuge team participated in the Meals Makers program at Sarah's Inn. We hope that through our volunteer efforts, we can create a positive impact on the lives of families who have been unjustly affected by the pain and hurt of domestic violence.
The Centrifuge team spent an afternoon crafting blankets for inclusion in the Live Like Roo foundation's care packages for companion animals diagnosed with cancer. 11 pets will snuggle up with our blankets. We also shopped for items on the Naperville Area Humane Society's wish list. It was meaningful to select much-needed goodies. Centrifuge made cash donations to both organizations.
Before giving thanks in November, we gave back. The Centrifuge team ventured out to the Northern Illinois Food Bank's West Suburban Center in Geneva, Illinois. During a two-hour shift there, we filled holiday food boxes with the essential groceries for a feast, plus treats including hot chocolate and brownie mix. We also made a monetary donation to the food bank.
One day of giving creates better days for those in need. Centrifuge dedicated Aug. 10, 2023, as a day of service. First, we assembled snack bags and laundry kits for DuPagePads, an organization serving people experiencing homelessness in DuPage County, Illinois. Then, we sponsored and participated in the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana's Red Show Brew, where all proceeds went toward helping families get better together.
Hope begins with food: The Centrifuge team joined a group of enthusiastic volunteers March 28, 2023, at the Aurora, Illinois, location of Feed My Starving Children to pack 35,640 meals for undernourished kids around the world. In addition to helping prepare and pack meals, Centrifuge made a cash donation to continue the good work of FMSC.
Families with seriously ill children enjoyed a dinner together at Ronald McDonald House in Chicago with a little help from the Centrifuge team on November 16. Led by Chef Ken Mallwitz, we prepared and served a meal that dozens of families enjoyed without the stress of cooking or expense of dining out.
It was a cool evening at Spring Rock Park in Western Springs, Illinois, on Oct.15, but participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light the Night walk warmed our hearts. Our generous supporters helped the Fuge Gives Huge team raise $12,730 during the Light the Night campaign.
